Eric Elofson - Filmmaker/Photographer

Eric Elofson is a partner at Rope Line Media, and award-winning filmmaker based in Washington, DC. He has directed or edited a number of short films which have won awards at Sundance, Cannes Cinefondation, and the Toronto International Film Festival, as well as many others. Eric also worked on feature films in LA and Hong Kong, and co-edited a series for National Geographic.  In 2015, Eric spent over a year on the road with Senator Bernie Sanders, managing the video-team that produced and edited his campaign's social media videos. After the election, Eric worked with a number of progressive politicians, non-profits, and philanthropic organizations, including  Beto O'Rourke, Melinda Gates and the Gates Foundation, producing videos for their social media campaigns. Now with his team at Rope Line, he is working with Senator Kamala Harris for her 2020 presidential campaign. 

Originally from Seattle, Eric earned his Masters in Film and Television Production at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, and his Bachelors in Cinema as Literature from the University of Washington. He is also an avid rock climber, back-country hiker, and world traveler, having visited, hiked and climbed in over 40 countries.
